The acclaimed Italian design duo have an unabashedly sensual aesthetic and have built a global megabrand from scratch.

The Sicilian design duo Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana have parlayed a dreamy Mediterranean aesthetic into a billion-dollar global brand.

FOUNDED IN 1985, DOLCE&GABBANA IS A MEGABRAND.

They first met when Dolce called the fashion house that Gabbana worked for at the time. Gabbana became a mentor of sorts to Dolce, and when Gabbana returned from his mandatory military tour, the two launched a design consultancy together and eventually started “Dolce&Gabbana”, with a runway debut in 1985 at Milan Fashion Week.

In the early 1990s, pop star Madonna selected them as her costume designers for her “The Girlie Show” world tour and wore one of their jewel-encrusted corsets to the Cannes Film Festival. Throughout the ‘90s, the duo were famed for their overtly feminine, colourful garments, which stood in stark contrast to the wave of minimalism that was sweeping across fashion at the time.

Main inspiration for all collection comes from Sicilian traditions.

Dolce&Gabbana unveils the new Spring/Summer 2025 Campaign featuring Global Ambassadors MUN KAYOUNG and NCT DOYOUNG. Frame by frame, the video content directed by Joon Koo Cho embodies the very essence of the collection, narrating a story of refined sensuality.

Night falls. In a sleek modern apartment illuminated by the city skyline, MUN KAYOUNG exudes the effortless confidence of a true diva, wrapped in an aura of mystery and allure. The garments sculpt her silhouette with precision and elegance, paying homage to a playful, powerful, and determined femininity – one that has long captivated the camera lens of the world’s greatest filmmakers.

A minimalist yet sophisticated setting serves as the backdrop for images featuring NCT DOYOUNG. The meticulously crafted lightweight materials and silhouettes of the Collection evoke the aesthetics of the Dolce Vita, transporting the viewer to sun-drenched Italian holiday destinations. At the heart of the scene lies a harmonious blend of contrasts – captured in a dynamic interplay of light and shadow, past and present, tailoring tradition, and contemporary attitude – woven into a timeless narrative.
